Restructuring and preparation of business plan for TKO "Uzbekistan"(Manufacturer of leather goods)

Status: Completed

Development of marketing strategy for the largest manufacturer of leather goods in Central Asia based on extensive research of the leather market in Central Asia and Uzbekistan. Study of competitors' strategy and policy in Central Asian countries. Defining main marketing and financing problems of the restructuring enterprise as well as development of a new strategy. Improvement of finance management and implementation of management accounting and management information system. Preparation of business plan in accordance with international standards. Analysis of investment programs for further development of the Company. Search for potential investors or consortium of investors and attraction of foreign investors. Audit of production lines and development of recommendations on improvement of products' quality. Assistance in selection and estimation of equipment.

The project resulted in drawing up of a large banking credit for restructuring of the company and procurement of  new equipment.

Evaluating liberalization of foreign currency effect

Status: Completed

Evaluation of impact of banking lending, FDI in foreign currency on production sector of the economy. Evaluation of efficiency of International donor’s credit lines. Conducting a research on the example of 16 Uzbek enterprises in four sectors of economy concerning the cost of the manufactured goods, export potential, transport expenses and planning change of enterprises’ revenue in the foreign currency on scenario of complete liberalization of foreign currency in Uzbekistan. Complex evaluation of the legislation on currency liberalization in Uzbekistan. Development of recommendations and amendments to the existing legal and regulatory environment.

Cooperation for export development in the Republic of Uzbekistan

Status: Completed

Studying problems related to implementing of export activity of eight Uzbek enterprises. The project resulted in development of detailed recommendations for improving export and marketing strategy of the export oriented enterprises as well as on elimination of restrictions.

Preparation of market research, business plan and attraction of private capital for Uzbek Manufacturer of  Household Refrigerators

Status: Completed

Implementation of market research of household refrigerators, beer coolers and air conditioners in Central Asia and the CIS. Preparation of business plan for the enterprise. Preparation of enterprise's profile and assistance in attraction of debt and stock financing.

The project resulted in attraction of large investments for the enterprise. Currently the plant operates successfully.

Preparation of corporate governance review in Uzbekistani enterprises

Status: Completed

Review of legal and regulatory structure. Evaluation of relations between banks and enterprises. Evaluation of real conditions of corporate governance practice. Identification of potential for creation of effective control and regulation of enterprises. Review and analysis of influence of commercial banks on activity and development of enterprises and capital market, investment, restructuring and privatization.

Preparation of tender documentation for Uzbek Manufacturer of laboratory equipment

Status: Completed

Preparation of tender documentation for participation in the tender of ABD and Islamic Bank of Development on delivery of equipment for the Center of Secondary Special Education at the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Situational review on implementation of Corporate Governance in Uzbekistani enterprises

Status: Completed

Review of enterprise restructuring and corporate governance development in Uzbekistan. Identification of factors and directions concerning support of corporate governance management and restructuring strategy formation; evaluation of current condition of real sector enterprises; exposure of problems on finances, development of initiatives in the sphere of restructuring of opportunities policy, legal and regulatory sphere, in the frames of which the corporate governance exists, strengthening of potential in the sphere of regulatory control of enterprises in the market environment. Complex analysis of the small and medium enterprises (SME) development and operation in the market. Development of relevant recommendations on sustainable development and functioning of SME in the country. Review of favorable financial conditions for the small and medium business in Uzbekistan as well as review of investment programs that aimed at supporting SME.

Preparation of the feasibility study for production of a flour and bran

Status: Completed

Preparation of the feasibility study on economic aspects of establishing flour and bran production line. The project aimed at assisting the Company in selection of a full set of modern production equipment, which would allow the Company to manufacture high-quality products in environment-friendly manner and to trade effectively both in external and domestic markets. As a result, the business plan was prepared for attraction of external financing.
